Clear (Premium Water-based Sealer)
DCS has a new “premium” water-based sealer called Aqua Clear. This
is a “green” product with very low odor and solvent-free. It also
enhances colored and acid stained concrete, unlike most water-based sealers.
This will allow home and business owners to get back to work sooner without
the harsh smell of solvents. This is a great high solids, single-component
urethane sealer for interior and exterior (with UV) use. It is very user friendly
and scratch-resistant.
Aqua Clear can only be applied by a pump or airless sprayer
in a circular motion with 100% coverage. DO NOT ROLL. Apply
first coat at a rate of 160 square feet per gallon, slightly
heavier than our normal solvent sealer. If it puddles or
gets too thick do not worry, it will self level to a point
and any thick areas will cure/dry clear. This is a water-based
product, so dry time will be 2-6 hours depending on temperature
and humidity. (NOTE: If the floor temperature is low due
to cool or cold conditions, allow Aqua Clear to dry for
24 hours.) Allow to cure 2 additional hours after surface
is completely dry to the touch before applying second coat.
Cure time will be 24 hours for foot traffic and 72 hours
for heavy traffic. Outdoor use will dramatically lower
dry times in the summer.
